W8NRA:

(HOW did you get that call?)

South on 77 to 76 in Akron, then East (head for Youngstown or New York) to OH 11, just past OH 46 and more orange barrels than you've ever seen since the express lane was added to 271.

South on 11 to OH 14 & West on 14. Grab US62/OH173 when 14 breaks off northwards and stay westbound. Indiana's on the right.... About where Jakes map shows it....

(Or someplace like that - I've never been there, but Salem still seems to be where it was the last time I was there. :))

Regards,
Stu.

(Why write a quick note when you can write a novel?)

(Why do those who claim to wish to protect me feel that the best way to do that is to disarm me?)

Andrews Cycle is a large motorcycle shop just West of the SHC. by 2 minutes.

They have a map page on their site that may help.

This may help.

I'll be there. I'll be bringing a S&W M&P 9c, S&W 642, Glock 36, and ammo. I'd love to try out a 1911...

You got big hands or small hands? I'll bring one to match (either a single-stack Sistema or a double-stack Para P-14/45).

Since people have to RSVP, I think it would be a good idea to have some name tags for people.

Especially since this is a meet and greet.

I am horrible with names.

I would be willing to assist in this, if you'd like.

I welcome the duty.

Can I shoot my SKS at the club (ammo is 7.62x39)?

Yes...and no. The range allows for it, but....on that day, we'll be keeping our mindset on handguns.

Morne and BigV, ill take you up on the offer to try out your 1911's. And Jake, I'd be happy to let you empty a few mags on my G36.

My not-so-secret plan is to show up with a few hundred rounds of .45 ACP and hope someone will let me try their .45, as I do not own any. Also, surreptitiously slipping some of it into Morne's range bag as a 'thank-you' for the ammo. that he gave me @ the Minerva Appleseed.

Things are lining up nicely so far.

We've been in contact with a restaurant that is only 5 min. from The SHC. and is pleased to accommodate our ever growing group.

They have a nice atmosphere, A/C and a decent variety on the menu.

If I'm not mistaken, that actually have something like Chocolate covered Frogs Legs on the Kids menu...for a mere $5000.00.

Plus it's a location where we won't have to disarm.

Please don't forget to dress for the weather.
We'll have plenty of liquid refreshments to keep us hydrated.
