7.5 years in the Army, April 84-Oct 91, and not one time were we required to wear eye protection at the range. We always had ear plugs, but never eye protection. I don't think we wore it a the grenade range, the M203 range, the M60 or the 50 cal machine gun ranges either. Can't remember wearing it on the demolition range either, but I could be wrong on that on. I think about the only time I ever put on safety glasses was if I were crawling around under a piece of heavy equipment doing maintenance, and that was just to keep the dirt out of my eyes.

60 to 64 and never wore ear or eye protection....though I wish I would of used ear plugs....dam hearing aid sucks..
