Okay. I'm awake.

But I'm hitting 'snooze' until April 4th.

My question is does the blend coarse and doing 2 hrs at the range meet ohio's requirements for ccw? I've heard mixed reports and one from a local range saying it doesn't. But yet the publication states "The training and written exam may be completed online or as a combination of in-person and online training. The online portion
of the training must include a component that regularly engages the person
." But no definition of "engages the person". I have not taken the online course yet but planning too. Was hoping the NRA would allow instructors 1 free time to test it out. I want to use there course along with 1 hr to cover Ohio Requirements than do the 2 hr range time.

I’m wondering if NRA training will ever get beck to its former prominence since the blended learning debacle.. when the did what they did it was a rediculous amount of time and cost for their basic pistol and it opened the flood gates for the competition to step in and offer something more reasonable. They are trying to come back with the blended fix but I wonder if it’s too late. Prime example of a bureaucratic mess.

If you can use the online then do a short in person class on Ohio requirements plus do the 2 hr live range and it qualifies for Ohio CCW then I can see it working even better. Especially for the 20 - 25 yr range and for smaller groups. I can see doing quit well

As of 3/23/15, Ohio DOES recognize a blended training class for the CHL.

This was part of HB234 that was enacted on 12/19/14.
