Laying down and shooting groups does little to truly test ones ability. Once you grasp the fundamentals we need to step outside the comfort zone. Whether you are a competitive shooter, hunter or professional gun slinger the ability to get into a position and fire accurate rounds quickly is far more valuable skill than shooting tiny groups.

When participating in competitions such as the Rimfire Sporter matches, being able to drop into position AND shoot small groups while on the clock is pretty much the point.

That is EXACTLY CMP Sporter...and Appleseed AQTs.
CMP Sporter Rapid fire Stages are 5 shots from standing to prone (or sitting) in 25 seconds.
Appleseed AQT Stage 2 is 5 shots each at two targets, with a mag change, in 55 seconds. At Fire! command , start standing and transition to sitting.
Appleseed AQT Stage 3 is 2 shots at target #1, 3 shots at target #2, and 4 shots at target 3, with a mag change, in 65 seconds. At Fire! command, start standing and transition to prone.
Great stuff to do.
