The Michigan schedule might work better for you...

I really, really wish there had been something like this available while I was still active duty. I could never do worth a crap with a rifle, and the Navy isn't much worried about training up Sailors to be riflemen - so you either qual'd Marksman/Sharpshooter/Expert or you didn't.
Total repeal of ALL firearms/weapons laws at the local, state and federal levels. Period. Wipe the slate clean.

I would like to inform folks that everyone can benefit from attending an Appleseed. Completely new shooters have come to the line with rifles still in the box. We also have veterans, fresh from duty, still able to learn something new. Most attendees were probably like me, having shot some, but not much competitive shooting, but who occasionally bring with us some bad habits that may be a bit hard to shake. Specific Appleseeds have been held for hundreds of active duty and reserve troops on base. Hopefully they learned skills that saved their lives or lives of others.
Come to one, and come with an open mind. I think you will be glad you did.

Thanks for the info. I've never heard of this but I will take any help I can get. When my unit goes to qualify, you only get one chance unless you fail and then you have to fire again. I didn't see any appleseed events on the Sandusky website so I'll probably go to one in Bellevue MI.

Try to find on that also has a long distance range. If they do, Appleseed usually incorporates that on the second day of instruction. I would say if you did well at an Appleseed, you will be WELL on your way to expert, guaranteed.
25meters...fun
500 Yards...priceless!

They have an Appleseed in Gibsonburg on 25-26 Oct. I really want to go to this, but I may be out of the area. I'll try to keep this post in mind and let you know if I'm going to go. If you go maybe we can carpool.
