Yea, I took my CHL class there and was very impressed.Atilla wrote:I've had mixed results at SWTI at CommenceFire, but have totally enjoyed the Advanced SWTI, and the outdoor Advanced Handgun 1 and 2, as well as their Shotgun class. Those classes fill up quickly, check their website for postings. I took my CHL there and I can't think of better instructors for newbies and on the legal aspects of CC.Kgolf31 wrote:Speaking of Commence Fire. Re: Commence Fire "Shoot with Instructors."
Bumping this one up from the past.
Went to another one of their "Advanced SWI" sessions last night.
I haven't been shooting nearly as much this year as previous years, but it looks like my two-handed work is still reasonable.
Single-hand, though, left *MUCH* to be desired. To be honest, it was atrocious.
Anyway, with the usual excellent student:instructor ratio (10 students, 5 instructors), I again picked up plenty of tips and golden nuggets. Considering that this is my 3rd or 4th time through these small sessions, I think it says something for the school that they still manage to keep it interesting, properly paced, and still able to be relevant for the shooter (a lot of the credit here goes to Keith, the chief instructor, who specifically asked us what we'd like to work on, given the time constraints of these mini-seminars).
IMHO, still the best $50 (ammo excluded, of-course! but I'm pretty positive that we did not shoot more than a hundred rounds) and 2 hours of a night value in NE-Ohio.
They're running quite a few of these sessions over the winter. I'd encourage anyone to come out.

Were you next to me, to my left?!!!!
I was the fat Chinese guy <<<----- that one should be easy to figure out.
If that doesn't get it, then you'll undoubtedly remember my awful single-handed shots.

^ Love to see you there.
I'm going to be going to the 8-10 "returning students" session, for-sure: going to turn it into a private session if there's not enough enrollment for it (in which case I'll be joining the first-time-through students on the 6-8 session, too).

No, not me. My goal for the night was practicing drawing from concealment. Hence the big green hoodie.BillytheKidder wrote:Pecker, I remember an Under Armour shirt, but not who was wearing it, are you the Steelers fan?
