Be thankful you have the $150 to buy a lower, instead of taking all the time and effort that this dude does.

You mean, be thankful that we can purchase a lower? When the gubment changes back to anti-gun, I'll start buying my Diet Mt. Dew in cans.

What are the odds that it's possible download all the dimensions and specs for an AR-15.
How about the CNC control files?

Four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo - use in that order.
If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.

That's what I get for not viewing it right away, and downloading it to my Machine.

Re: Making an AR Lower from Pop Cans
I'm sure there are tons of 3D cad models of AR lowers and uppers.
However exactly what toloing you use, and how many axis the CNC has will determine how the part is machined. The Magazine well probably should be broached...it can and is done other ways but broached is probably best.
One can buy an 80% that has the magwell broached and some other critical features completed, and has then been hard anodized, they are cheap enough that it is well worth it IMHO.Hard anodizing aluminum makes it a totally different animal than raw aluminum or even aluminum with a decorative anodizing that you could do at home. Good hard anodizing is harder than a Nicholson file .
I get the coolness factor of just carving one out of bar stock .
