Report back on how well it works, accuracy, etc please.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Re: PMR-30 Keltec
That's a pretty good deal on them these days. I think the lowest I have seen them around has been about $400.
Here's the bad news....
They are fun to shoot, have a decent trigger, and hold thirty rounds. You will be going through 22 Magnum rounds a lot quicker than you think!

Re: PMR-30 Keltec
That's a fair price, Carmen, you did well.
They're a hoot. Tremendous muzzle blast and report, depending on the ammo used - but the recoil is no more than .22 LR. I bought mine a while back (at what seemed to be a time when they were really high in stock and thus pushed prices pretty low via various retailers), I got mine for not much less than yours, now, and current pricing seems to be in the low 400s, as Stryker74 mentioned.
I've been thinking about getting a CMR to go with it as they share the same mags, but that money kept going elsewhere.
It's a lot of firepower for very little weight, and I originally bought the PMR as a step-up gun for my daughter.
.22 WMR prices seem pretty decent these days. Just saw that SGAmmo has the 30 gr Winchester HV at 26-cents per round, if you buy a case of 1K, plus flat-rate shipping of $15 or so. AmmoSeek now sees prices dipping into the 20-cents per round range on Armscor.
Buy a few different 50-round boxes, first. These guns have been known to be a bit finicky on ammo. Loading to a full 30 in the stack requires a bit of finesse, too.
If you have a chance to be able to choose from a few that are in-stock at your LGS, take the time to do so. How stiff their slides are as well as the quality of the trigger can vary greatly between samples. My salesman (and I) at Point Blank in Mentor must have gone through 8 to a dozen of them, trying to find the one with the smoothest slide action and trigger, after I noticed (and he concurred) that the first one he brought out for me to start the paperwork for had tremendously different slide action and trigger path than the one they had on-display.

Don't try and load the mags to capacity. You'll wind up with feeding issues.

Re: PMR-30 Keltec
I love mine, I have had it a couple of years and have never had any feeding problems with full magazines. Load them carefully. Probably have run a couple thousand rounds through it.
I have not tried it yet, but think it might make a good pin gun, as the places I have shot pins, we only need to knock them down, not off, the table.

Proudly causing more problems than I solve, since 1950.

Had a chance to take this to the range yet? I am interested in your impressions.

Me too. I've always found the concept of a 30 round .22Mag very tempting...but OTOH I've seen twenty too many Youtube videos of the PMR-30's jamming up on every other shot.

Need to find an ammo that it likes, and stick with it. A friend of mine has one, and it runs through thirty rounds without any trouble. I think he shoots Hornady in it.glocksmith wrote:Me too.
