How about some pics

Post by sabalo »

Maybe we could post pics of the favorite gun or guns we own.
Here's #1 on my list - A Para LTC Commander size .45

Springfield Armory XD9 compact. Excellent.

Yer right though...not the best carry piece.

Oops...I wasn't paying attention....that's a 9mm bore, I didn't notice the ammo sitting there!

I always get a kick out of comparing the XD series to glocks. They have many features in common such as reliability, accuracy and so on.

The XD series has the glocks beat for two reasons...safety features and price.

An XD will cost you anywhere from 50 to 100 bucks less than a glock.

An XD also has 5 safety features as opposed to glock's two.

1. Trigger safety
2. grip safety
3. loaded chamber indicator
4. striker status indicator
5. internal firing pin safety

The glock's trigger safety, IMO, isn't as nicely done as the XD. The glock simply catches on part of the external frame. The XD trigger safety catches inside the frame. The glock does have an internal firing pin safety.

Personally, I think glocks are over-rated/overpriced.

I'll post some pics of my Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail later since I am at work now and they are at home. It really is a sweet looking gun.

Sabalo. that is probably the prettiest Para LTC pic I've ever seen. Very nice.
