I'm going to have to recommend ventilation when you use your solvents in the future.

Re: Mini-Me's Mossberg Shotgun Disassembly Guide
Never had an issue getting the mossy apart..
it's always the putting it back together, redoing the bolt assembly and shell lifter a couple times before its all in the right order that gets me..

Ran in to this picture on another site where poster was trying to show how to get to a firing pin spring on a Taurus revolver.
Reminded me of Evan Price and Mini-Me!

I like to swap brass... and I'm looking for .32 H&R Mag, .327 Fed Mag, .380 Auto and 10mm. If you have some and would like to swap for something else, send me a note!

Re: Mini-Me's Mossberg Shotgun Disassembly Guide
I have severely neglected Mini-Me of late.
What should I do next- take apart and put together the S&W 'K'-frame revolver?
Maybe I should take a poll.

Seriously... you don't need Mini-Me's help to make a poll.

With all these people shooting themselves in the leg, you should have a mini-me's guide to safety!!
On a side note, great guide.

Re: Mini-Me's Mossberg Shotgun Disassembly Guide
This is by far the best disassembly guide I've ever seen. Simply hilarious.

Maybe you should take your meds! hahaevan price wrote: Maybe I should take a poll.
This guide remains awesome. I thought of coming back to add a suggestion, since I just had a difficult time removing the mag tube on my mossberg 590. Newer 500/590s actually have the magazine tube loctited in place, and if you try to use a wrench chances are you'll mangle the tube (or bend it if you fail to use the wrench over the only solid part on the 500 tube at the muzzle end where the metal is thick (the 590 has no such safe spot).
But I found a solution. If you heat it up enough, the loctite will melt and you'll be able to unscrew it easily with no tools. I stripped my 590 down to just the receiver with mag tube glued in place, then heated up the inside and outside of the receiver end with a lit can of sterno fuel. It took about 15 minutes to get hot enough, but when it happens you'll hear a sizzling and smell noxious smoke, at which point the tube will unscrew easily. Didn't get hot enough to affect the finish at all, which was a concern at the start.
