Extensive holster company list - complete with links

Postby D-Day » Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:16 am

So, on a random search looking for any reviews of a particular holster, I ran across a thread about someone asking about a P226 holster. Someone posted a large list of names of holster companies. I was extremely bored, so I thought Googling every single name, copying and pasting and tagging each name/URL would take up some time. Only took up about 55 minutes. Most of them I hardly glanced at the front page, I was copying/pasting names and searching so fast and tagging stuff.

Time to go find something else to do.

Maybe somebody will find this helpful in the future.

I suppose we'll have to call you Mr. Fancy Pants. (And yes I expect everyone to actually watch the entire video.)

:P :P :P

Seriously--good job.

Handy! Thanks.

Mr. Alessi doesn't have a web page, but some of his distributors do.

http://www.lightningarms.com/products.htm for example.

He makes the finest holster on the list, I think.

I ordered a Mernickle SH9 last week. Be nice if the money order got there Saturday so the order goes out on the floor soon...they say 6 to 8 weeks, but I've read of people getting them sooner than expected. I'd really like to have it before New Year's, but I'm not betting on it simply because I waited too long.

Scavok, when you ordered your Mernickle, how long did it take, as opposed to your quoted ship date?

Mernickle lives about 40 minutes from me

I make it a point to spend a lot of time at his booth at every local gun show.

It's a family business and they are terrific people!

Here's what I got the names from: http://www.gunforums.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/8565/

Fantastic. So whoever copied the names did so from Glocktalk without the links, and I re-URL'd them all...very nice. Meh, it was out of boredom anyway.

D-Day;

To continue from my previous post (which was interrupted). IMHO expect the full wait because of the recent increase in CCW holders and gun sales.

Thanks, for the great list.

Now the only problem is finding one that suits your needs, style, and body type- you only have 1000 to choose from.

I have literally been through 60-ish holsters in my lifetime with various guns. Without actually buying one and trying it on its all a crapshoot as to how it fits, functions, and feels on an individual. You really need about 3-4 suitable ones for each gun, especially for CCW depending on clothes you wear.

Unfortunately, this affects how effective you are when you need to be.
Another reason to only carry one gun with the same holster all the time.

Thanks, good reference.

Can someone give me an idea of a good concealed carry holster for a springfield xd 9mm. tired of using the plastic one that came with it.

Thanks

Nice, D-Day. I just bought a beautiful leather holster from Kirkpatrick for my Dan Wesson .357. Pricey, but perfect.
